ABOUT THE PROJECT
On-demand learning: a faster way to learn languages, and pretty much anything.
The traditional way of learning languages is as follows — a teacher in school says “ok class, today we’re starting a chapter on the Beach. You’ll learn all the vocabulary for beach items: sand, towels, waves, umbrellas, …”.
But what if I don’t want to learn everything about the beach? I never go to the beach.
In the education community, the above approach can be summed up as “Push Learning”, and its opposite, “Pull learning” or “on-demand learning” is a process by which students learn what they want to or ask to learn at any given point in time.
LingoLens enables pull-learning for language-acquisition. Users can walk around and see their world described in the language they are trying to learn. LingoLens puts the user in charge of their learning.
